I was looking for a recent book, and in the past the dummies books were quite useful. Since this had a publication date in the last year I figured they would have up-to-date information.Nope.Take the filter chapter. It talks about box filters, sponge filters, and spends a significant portion of the chapter on underground gravel filters. None of those are used in modern reef tanks. It briefly mentions sumps, without even providing a single diagram of what one looks like.I’m very disappointed with the book, at this point I wish I hadn’t bought it.Adding insult to injury the paper isn’t much better than high-quality news print. I remember dummies books having better paper than this years ago. This book is full of instructions, ideas and know-how tips. Easy to read and easy to understand. A must for the beginner who is wanting to create the perfect salt water habitat for the first time. I highly recommend this book.
